Cozy atmosphere with incredibly friendly staff making my stay pleasant,. A fantastic location near major attractions and shopping.

While the amenities were mostly excellent, some front desk interactions felt quite unwelcoming, which impacted my overall experience.

The musical theme throughout the hotel was delightful, and enjoying complimentary ochazuke at night was a treat after a long day of exploring Kyoto.

The room features chic decor and a modern design, delivering a calming atmosphere that sets a great tone for relaxation. A highlight includes the bathroom with a window and innovative shower jets, providing an enjoyable experience while soaking up the serene views of the bustling streets outside without compromising on tranquility.

The entrance can be a bit tricky to locate for the first time since it's tucked away on a side street, which might confuse those laden with luggage. Rooms tend to feel cramped, especially if you have bigger bags. the lay-out can make maneuvering tight. The shower's multiple jets sound great, but in practice, it means bumping elbows in a narrow space, which is less than ideal for a comfortable wash.

The location was fantastic, just steps away from Nishiki Market and shopping streets. The staff went above and beyond, making our stay feel special with thoughtful gestures.

However, the hotel’s entrance was a bit tucked away, making it tricky to find initially. Also, the noise from the ventilation in the bathroom was quite bothersome.

The hotel features a sleek and modern design with soothing gray tones that create a calming atmosphere. Its convenient location near Nishiki Market and public transport made it very accessible for me as a senior traveler.

We had an amazing time during our stay, enjoying the beautiful surroundings and being just a few steps from Laduree Kyoto Shijo and only a short walk to the vibrant Nishiki Market, where we indulged in delicious local eats and shop items unique to the area.

I loved how comfortable the bedding was and the amazing variety of Japanese-style breakfasts! The public bath was also a relaxing treat that we really enjoyed. I'd definitely return!

Grand Bach Kyoto Select is a gem tucked away from the bustling streets. The location is fantastic, just off the main shopping thoroughfare. Easy access to the subway made getting around the city a breeze. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile. I appreciated the welcome drink and the nightly snack, a thoughtful touch after a long day exploring the city. The cleanliness and décor of the hotel are top-notch. The breakfast buffet exceeded my expectations—plenty of delicious options. However, the combo washer dryer in the room struggled to dry clothes effectively. I had to run multiple cycles without much success, which was a bit frustrating. The rooms, while comfortable, could use a bit more space, especially for those traveling with larger luggage. These minor issues didn't overshadow the overall experience, though. I truly enjoyed my stay here.

Great spot for exploring Kyoto!

Loved the central location! Easy walks to Nishiki Market and Gion. Nearby convenience stores. The beds were super comfy, and they even had a vending machine and laundry on-site. The bathroom was a bit tight, though, not as spacious as I hoped. Grabbed some bites at the cozy bar lounge too.
